Pine Needles Announces Promotion, Staff Additions

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – March 21, 2017 – Pine Needles – Mid Pines Resorts announced a staff promotion in Sales and welcomed several additions to its Golf Operations team.

Tyler Mishler has been promoted to Social Sales & Golf Group Manager. The Evart, Mich. native has spent the past 15 months working as an Assistant PGA Professional at both Pine Needles and Mid Pines. In his new position, Tyler will oversee social and golf group sales, including buddy trips and golf retreats. Pine Needles also welcomed the following Golf Professionals to the Golf Operations staff:

Scott Moody, of Natick, Mass., has joined the Golf Operations team as an Assistant PGA Professional.  A graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Scott has a passion for teaching golf and helping players to enjoy the game. 

Mike Asbury, originally from Winston-Salem, N.C., is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University where he was a four-year letterman on the Golf Team. His ultimate goal is to spread his love for the game of golf to others that share the same passion.

Landon Shirley, born and raised in Charlotte, N.C., learned the game of golf from his grandfather. Landon is on track to graduate from NC State’s PGA Golf Management program this spring.

Richard Toth has been hired as an intern in Golf Operations. The Philadelphia native is enrolled at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. and is expected to graduate this year.  

New staff members will work at both Pine Needles and Mid Pines and will be available for on-course instruction, Ladies Golfari, Adult Golfari, Youth Golfari, Golf Academy and our couples events, the Couples Carousel and Couples Jamboree throughout the 2017 season.
