The Pilot: Women’s Golf Takes Center Stage This Week

It will be a busy week for elite women’s golf in Moore County this week.

With 52 weeks in a year, two important women’s amateur tournaments are being held at the same time less than six miles apart on virtually the same road.

That’s good for the spectators, hard on the players who have to choose where they want to play. Oh, there is that little thing called the U.S. Women’s Open happening this week, too.

 These championships are populated with many players from the college ranks. There is a relatively small window for getting these events played without conflicting with their school schedule. Read More.
