A Golfari – “Safari of Golf” – is a unique combination that represents the perfect balance between learning golf, playing golf and the relaxation that you’ll find here at Pine Needles. Each day is a mix of instruction, both on the lesson tee and on the golf course, and relaxing in the company of friends. Read more about our Golfari program.
2016 Youth Golfari; Sunday, July 10 – Saturday, July 16
Pine Needles started one of the first ever junior golf camps in America. Since 1969, we’ve delivered superior golf instruction to kids aged 9–16, with emphasis on building proper swings in a fun atmosphere. Solid fundamentals are the foundation of a good swing and the start of a life-long passion for the game. But that’s just the beginning.

Youth will see improvement in their full swing, putting, short game and course management. Students will learn how to practice like a pro, master bunker shots and get the ball closer in the scoring zone! Each student will have their swing analyzed on video. We work with each players’ skills, encouraging each to improve within his or her own ability.
Peggy Kirk Bell and her family have been conducting golf schools for over 50 years. When your child attends a Golfari, he or she becomes “one of the family.” From the moment they drop off their clubs, our caring and friendly staff will handle your child’s every need. All they have to do is relax and have fun.
Throughout the week campers will experience first class instruction with multiple PGA and LPGA instructors who love to teach and care about making the learning experience fun and rewarding. Afterwards, they can enjoy various activities like team sports, swimming, and tug-o-war as well as great food and lots of fun!
World-Class Golf Instruction To Improve Your Game
Our Golfari instruction staff is simply the best – we have multiple LPGA and PGA Teachers of the Year, many Hall of Fame members, and most importantly, instructors who love to teach. Our main priority is to make your learning experience as rewarding as possible, whether that means hitting the ball further and straighter, mastering those troublesome fairway woods, improving pesky bunker shots, or simply loving the experience of golf.

Two exciting highlights of the Golfari are the Staff Scramble and Camp Championship. We cordially invite your junior golfers to join us this summer!
